Registered in 1947 the Ford v8 Pilot was first produced in the late 40’s, just after World War Two, and continued to be produced till the early 50’s. The saloon was sold as a mid to higher end vehicle as well as being used as police cars.
This particular Pilot has been modified, fitted with adjustable air suspension, meaning it can be raised up to a driving height and appear standard/original with the bonus of dropping to the ground and looking cool.
It’s been fitted with a touch larger v8 flathead taken from an American truck going through a full stainless system meaning it sounds killer, and mated up to a 5-speed gearbox making keeping up with modern traffic a doddle.
The sides of the engine bay have been removed however these can be refitted to give the original look.
The interior is completely original with the original bench seats front and back (though front seat does have a tartan blanket covering the ripped leather.
The exterior is original paint with a couple of primer patches from repairs.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VEHICLE IS RIGHT HAND DRIVE*
