This car started life as a standard 4-door 6-seat Cadillac Brougham but was modified in the US from new. The car was effectively cut in half, stretched to accommodate an additional door per side and a third row of seats. The name is pronounced “bro-um”
Rather than the later style front wheel drive Fleetwood Brougham, this is the rear wheel drive model, production of which continued parallel to the front wheel drive version until 1992 due to both popularity and mistrust of the front wheel drive system. This body style effectively ran from the 1970’s up to 1992 basically without major change.
The interior is blue velour and the centre row of seats can be swapped from standard forward facing to rearward facing “conference” layout. Additional features are an electric division, rear tv (currently non-functional) and separate rear entertainment and heating controls
This is a very comfortable car to travel in and is is a really nice place to be, especially if you want to arrive somewhere special and in style.
